Cowabunga
Diggity Dog and I spend a lot of time in the Dairy State, but we’ve found it surprisingly difficult to find cows to hang out with. Most days we roll slowly down country roads, secretly hoping a dairy farmer will run out to the Wienermobile and ask if we want to help hand-milk their dairy cows… but that hasn’t happened yet. When we saw the Wisconsin Valley Fair on our cow-lendar, we knew we needed to milk the experience. Here’s some dairy tales about our udderly awesome time in wonderful Wausau, Wisconsin.
Working at the cow wash.
Diggity was cow-rageous enough to nestle in next to some colossal cattle.
We were in heifer heaven when we met Harriet in the dairy barn. She was by far our favorite cow and we visited her every day.
We became such close friends with Harriet it was hard to say good-bye when the fair was over. We promised to stay in touch, but it was still a very somber, mooorose farewell.
Happy trails, Harriet.
