A view from one of the Great Five
A-dog Alison and I shared a beautiful sunset with WEENR on Lake Michigan. With neither of us being from the Midwest, we have found sunsets to be one of our favorite things to watch in this part of the country.

WEENR felt tiny next to the World’s Largest Buffalo in Jamestown, North Dakota! With the Buffalo towering over our dog at 26 feet tall and 46 feet long, we think WEENR appreciated feeling like the “little guy” for once! Surrounding the big midwest tourist attraction are beautiful views of the North Dakota countryside.

11-year-old Katie of Fargo, North Dakota, brought us a special visitor. Her one-of-a-kind pet bird arrived on her shoulder, chirping away for over twenty minutes. His orange and red colors fit right in with WEENR. He even enjoyed a hot dog bun!
In West Fargo, North Dakota, 18-year-old Megan, also known to many as Miss West Fargo, stopped by to hang out with us and grill some hot dogs. Megan spent the afternoon selling Oscar Mayer Jumbo Beef Franks, donated by Sunmart, to raise money for a group of teenagers from her local church to travel to Denver, Colorado, for a mission trip. We were honored to have such royalty around!
While in Merrillville, Indiana, WEENER met up with a 1930 Ford Standard Roadster, Model A. Owned by Charles of St. Charles, Illinois, and the “little guy” was in town for the Model A Restorers Club 2009 National Meet in Merrillville. We think WEENER himself should be invited next time:)
WEENR had a taste of Ireland as he visited the beautiful campus of Notre Dame. His tour included the bookstore, the Basilica, famous “Touchdown Jesus,” a drive around the stadium, and dinner at Legends.
The 12 Hotdoggers representing Class 22 of Wienermobile drivers for the next year have arrived for training! When coming down the escalator at the airport in Madison, Wisconsin, the 14 Hotdoggers of Class 21 welcomed us in style, complete with flight suites, balloons, signs, and of course, the Oscar Mayer jingle. What a wonderful way to begin Hot Dog High!
