Ok, so you probably have no idea who a Hotdogger is and what a Hotdogger does.

Well, it’s one of us, the guys and gals who drive the Wienermobile, criss-crossing the country, looking for bridges that are high enough to drive under so we don’t get stuck . We thought it was only fair that you get to see the inside of the Wienermobile – including the people driving it. So, that’s why we created this blog. We hope you enjoy reading our stories and experiencing what being a Hotdogger is all about. We appreciate every wave we receive on the road and are thrilled you’re reading and commenting here.

We’ll try to respond if we can… (after all, there’s a lot of ground to cover). – The Hotdoggers

They DO Exist!

There are 6 Wienermobile vehicles that travel the United States, making it a truly special ocasion when you finally see one.  Sometimes I hear people exclaim when they see it for the first time, ”it really DOES exist!”. Thats how I felt when I ran into the Tooth Fairy in Denver, CO!

Airboats and Wienermobiles!

Sawgrass Recreational Park,  Weston,FL.  We all know that Wienermobile vehicles really haul buns, but Doggone Dave and I thought we’d try out a different mode of transportation when we visited the Florida Everglades. We navigated swamp-land and braved alligators all while traveling in an Airboat!

Being brave before our adventure into gator-infested waters!

(if you look closely you can see a gator hiding)

We loved our ride so much it inspired an idea for the future- airBUNS. Part Wienermobile, part airboat, we’re pretty sure its going to become the new favorite mode of transportation for Hotdoggers everywhere!  Thanks to captain Paul and the staff at the Sawgrass Recreation Park for a bun-derful day!

Ketchup with the Wienermobile and the Domestic Diva!

Macon, GA. You may remember that Doggone Dave and I had a fabulous time at Blogher in Chicago-we met tons of bundeful bloggers and even got some great tips for our blog. There was one blogger, however, that we had yet to meet- the Domestic Diva!  We arrived at THE Diva’s home and even got to take her family for a ride.

Do Geckos Eat Hot Dogs?

In previous posts we’ve discovered that trolls, dinosaurs, Boyscout bears, and dragons eat hot dogs. After meeting this Gecko at the North Carolina state fair, its safe to say that Gecko’s DO eat hot dogs.

A Gecko’s favorite hot dog topping? Green relish, of course!

Hot Dog Hot Rod

In Florida we got to show YUMMY off at the Lakeland Car Show. There were Mustangs, Corvettes,  and Bentleys, but nothing stands out like a 27 ft hotdog on wheels.  Plus, they might be fast, but we really haul buns!

The Meeting of Two Rockin’ American Icons

During our visit in memphis we definitely got to oportunity to enjoy some of the local music scene. We visited Sun Studio where Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Louis, and of course Elvis Presley got their starts. We were so inspired by the rockin’ music scene that we had to take our Wienermobile Yummy to Elvis’ Graceland!

YUMMY Comes Home!

Yummy, Doggone Dave, and I had an amazing time visiting my home town, Cincinnati, OH. We got to see  Great American Ball Park, stroll through downtown Cincinnati,  and even go to a Franktastic Family party at my house (complete with hot dog hats, t -shirts, and even a hot dog- shaped pinata!) It was great to get to show off YUMMY to my family in my very own home town. I even got a chance to try a mix of my two favorite foods- Cincinnati Chili and hot dogs!
