Life Inside the Wienermobile Vehicle

Stories from the road

Franktastic Times at the Donate Life 5k Run/Walk

It always feels bunderful to bring the Wienermobile to support great causes. Check out this video of the awesome experience and personal connection Ketchup Kylie had at the Cal State Fullerton Donate Life 5k Run/Walk!

RELSHME vs. ROBOSAURUS

As the driver of one of the most iconic vehicles in the nation, it is rare when Hotdoggers find a vehicle that rivals the Wienermobile in size and originality. At the Touch-A-Truck Car Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, Schnitzel Itzel and I saw Robosaurus  in all of its glory. It measures at 48 feet high when it transforms from semi-truck to robot dinosaur! But what Robosaurus can do, RELSHME can do bigger and better!

Wienermobilia: Fun with Food!

There are lots of  Wienermobilia out there, and I can understand why. If you are a fan of the Wienermobile, why not have fun with the food outside the hot dog bun? People love sharing their own Wienermobile food art with me and I’m so doggone impressed that I can’t keep it to myself!

I’ve found a Watermelon-Wienermobile in Indianapolis, Indiana…

A ketchup-and-mustard-mobile at Jean-erDog’s Hot Dog party

A sweet frankfurter treat at graduation from Hot Dog High in Madison, WI…

But as fun and delicious as these bunderful imitations can be, nothing makes me smile more than the real deal: a 27-foot long Wienermobile that always has a smile waiting for me!

Hot Dog Friday

One morning Schnitzel Itzel and I were checking out the scenic kraut of Flagstaff, Arizona when we stumbled across Hot Dog Friday. Check out this video of one company’s effort to share a few smiles with the whole community.

Hotdoggers Visit Some Snow Birds

As a child, my family would visit my grandparents in Mission, Texas. Every winter my grandparents moved south with the birds to soak up some sun and escape the winter cold. Hence the nickname “snow birds”.

I could not have been more excited to revisit El Valle del Sol and show friends of my grandparents RELSHME!

Hotdoggin’ Through Hollywood

Some Hotdoggers move on in life after the Wienermobile to work for advertising agencies, public relations firms, or continue their education in graduate school. Well this Lady Ketchup has stars in her eyes for Hollywood, and had a bunderful time showing Schnitzel Itzel her favorite city on the west coast!

While in college, I interned for the television show “Wipeout”, so I reconnected with the crew to show off my hot dog hot rod at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences offices.

In just two years, I have gone from jumping across big red balls to cruising the hot dog highways of America in the Wienermobile, and I can’t wait to see what life has in store for this Hotdogger next!

A View to Relish

When some people see the Wienermobile, many are in disbelief that it can drive just like an ordinary car.  But when in Sedona, Arizona, Schnitzel Itzel and I wanted to get an up-close and personal view of what makes this city so beautiful-we knew RELSHME couldn’t squeeze her buns over rugged terrain, so we traded her in for a pink jeep to climb the red rocks!

Schnitzel Itzel and I never sausage a beautiful sight!  The view from the top of these rocks is something to relish for a lifetime.

Back in Shotbun Again

After a brief resting of the buns back home for the holidays, we Hotdoggers are well-rested and ready to hit the hot dog highways in the new year!  It was hard to say bun voyage to Dyl-icious, but Schnitzel Itzel and I were ecstatic to get acquainted with our trusty steed of the Southwest- RELSHME.

Ketchup Kylie and RELSHME's first photo together!

Since the Southwest is unknown territory for Schnitzel Itzel and I, we let RELSHME take the lead as we started our journey to Arizona from San Francisco, California.

All Hotdoggers say a Wienermobile knows best, and RELSHME proved that saying by taking us on the most beautiful scenic kraut of them all- the Pacific Coast Highway!

RELSHME happy as can be outside of Big Sur, California

Buns of Fun in Pensacola

Since there are only six Wienermobile vehicles in the entire country, the opportunity to bump into another team is rare.  Lucky for the East team, Dyl-icious and I were able to head south for the warm and sunny beaches of Pensacola, Florida to visit Turkey Dog Tyler and Schnitzel Itzel!

We relished our time together as we swapped tales from the road, brain-stormed new hot dog puns, and hauled buns to the beach to catch a beautiful sunset!

Even WEENR enjoyed catching some rays on the beach with us!

Ketchup Family Reunion

The hot dog highways of the East Coast may be new to me, but not to the clan of Ketchup Kylie!  While traveling with Dyl-icious, I sure feel doggone lucky to have the opportunity to meat so many relatives of mine all over the country.

In Massachusetts I met my cousin, C. Michael, whom I haven’t seen since I was just a little link, no more than 4 years old! What a bunderful way to ketchup with family I’ve missed.

It feels franktastic to share the magic of the Wienermobile with those I love, and frankly, sharing a home-cooked meal with them is an added bonus as well!
