Life Inside the Wienermobile Vehicle

Stories from the road

Ketchin’ up with Kraft Foods

Nacho Cheese Nikita, RELSHME and I relished spending time in Union Square with the other big dogs of Kraft Foods! Mr. Peanut, Kool-Aid Man and Oreo all met up with the Wienermobile during the Fight Hunger Bowl pre-game pep rally.

It’s hard to resist taking pictures with all 4 of these Kraft Food icons…

And, we met some franktastic football fans, players, and Kraft employees gearing up for the big game at the AT&T Park!

You’re a Chevy? I’m a Chevy too!

One of the most frequently asked questions that us Hotdoggers get is “what kind of chassis is the Wienermobile built on?” In case you were one of those inquisitive dogs still pondering this…the Wienermobile is made on a Chevy truck chassis!

Nacho Cheese Nikita and I took RELSHME to show off our buns along with the rest of these cool antique Chevy cars at the San Jose Chevrolet Classic Car Show!

We had buns of fun at the car show.

RELSHME rides to the first-ever Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl!

RELSHME, Nacho Cheese Nikita and I were the luckiest dogs ever. We got to witness the first Kraft Huddle for Hunger Bowl at AT&T Park in San Francisco. Along with sponsoring an amazing bowl game, Kraft has donated over 20 million meals around the country!

The 3 of us were a part of the weekend festivities, and even got to ketchup with some of the big dogs from Boston College and Nevada!

Franktastic game, guys!

RELSHME “Meats” Ketchup and Mustard

While spending time in toasty New Mexico,  Nacho Cheese Nikita and I took a trip to the franktastic Holloman Air Force Base to ketchup with the military and their families and friends in the area. Everyone at the Commisary was super dog excited to see RELSHME-especially the Ketchup and Mustard (also known as Kraft Foods Representative Cindy, and Commisary Manager Keith)!

We had so much fun sharing the Wienermobile with everyone in Holloman, and even got to enjoy Oscar Mayer hot dogs!

Franks for having us, Holloman AFB!

We all live in a…27 foot Wienermobile

While traveling the hot dog highways of Southern California, Nacho Cheese Nikita and I are always on the lookout for  celebrity sightings. We couldn’t resist taking a picture when we met  top dogs Sgt. Pepper and Lucy. They are quite the franktastic Beatles mascots!

“Meating” Picklin’ Pat’s Family!

While cruising the hotdog highways of Southern California, Nacho Cheese Nikita and I had a bunderful time meating Picklin’ Pats’ brother and grandparents! We relishbeing able to ketchup with hotdoggers’ families on the road!

Although that looks like Picklin’ Pat, its actually his twin brother, Timmy!

Timmy became an honorary Hotdogger and learned all about the Wienermobile

It is always fun to see familiar faces on the road, and as Hotdoggers, all of us have become like family. Franks for spending time with us, Timmy, Chuck and Glenda!

Racing in Ketchup and Mustard

RELSHME, Nacho Cheese Nikita and I spent four bunderful days with the  State Brothers Route 66 Rendezvous car show in San Bernadino, CA. Although none of the cars could outdo our franktastic 27-foot-long Wienermobile, we did find an antique car sporting similar condiment colors!

The car was lucky number 23 which happens to be this years’ Hotdogger class. What a coincidence!

Keeping Cool Like Cacti

Nacho Cheese Nikita, RELSHME and I have been trying to keep our buns cool while traveling through the Southwest region in the summertime. Although we keep cool by staying hydrated, Nacho Cheese and I have found another life form that has its own remedy for the hot desert heat.

Fun fact about cacti: they have a waxy coating and a super-dog water retention tissue that helps prevent water loss and keeps them healthy!

Mesa, Arizona takes on Wienermobile Jeopardy!

While traveling the Hotdog Highways of Mesa, AZ with contest winner Vickie, Nacho Cheese Nikita, RELSHME and I stopped at a local barbeque to play Wienermobile Jeopardy with the community!

After an intense game of Jeopardy, all of our contestants became experts on Oscar Mayer, the Hotdoggers and the Wienermobile!

One of the toughest questions was: The number of years that Hotdoggers have been traveling with the Wienermobile.

And the answer….What is 23?

RELSHME Meats a World Famous Zoo

What better place to take our own top dog than to meat the top dogs of the animal kingdom!

Fun facts from the San Diego Zoo:

Baby polar bears can be up to 5 feet tall – that’s the same height as Nacho Cheese Nikita and me!

A full sized polar bear is definitely a jumbo dog

One of the elephants at the San Diego Zoo weighs 12,500 pounds. That is almost the size of the Wienermobile (or 125,000 hot dogs)!

Franks for all the fun, San Diego Zoo!
