Life Inside the Wienermobile Vehicle

Stories from the road

Hula Hooping with RELSHME

Hotdoggers love to hula hoop all across the country. In case you don’t remember, Tailgatin’ Traci and Yoli Bologna took their hula hoops to every state line they encountered. Click Here to see their hula hooping skills.

This time around Ketchup Kylie and I decided to jump in the bunwagon and show off our skills.

Since we were having such a franktastic time, others decided to come on out and join the fun!

Puppy Break at the Wienermobile

People love to bring their pets to the Wienermobile. Our four legged friends are our most frequent visitors and of course Ketchup Kylie and I take this opportunity very seriously. Having a pet while traveling the country in this hot dog hot rod is definitely not an option, so when people bring their puppies for a great photo op we take full advantage.

Meat some of our four legged friends.  Aren’t they adorable!?

Everything’s Bigger in Texas

Just about everyone is familiar with the saying “Everything’s bigger in Texas”. After all, Texas is the second largest state in the country following Alaska. Being from the Lone Star state myself, I thought I would share some sightings I did while I was there.

So yes, you will find that just about everything is as big as they say.

Their trucks are bigger.

Their games are bigger.

Above is Reese with Relish playing a giant Jenga game in Austin, TX.

Their monuments are bigger.

Here is Turkey Dog Tyler and I standing next to Sam Houston. It is the world’s tallest sStatue of an American Hero and is located in Huntsville, TX

Their boots are bigger. These are located in San Antonio, TX and stand at 40 ft tall!

But nothing compares to the 27-foot-long hot dog hot rod we all love!

San FRANK-cisco and the Golden Gate

I have never been to California before, so I was more than excited when I found out that I will be spending my second half as a Hotdogger with Ketchup Kylie in the Southwest. Our first stop as a new team was San FRANK-cisco, but first things first, we had to go and pick up or “new” set of wheels.

For the past six months, I had been driving WEENR in the South, while Ketchup Kylie had been driving WNR MBLE in the East coast. Now it was time to pick up the new hot dog hot rod – RELSH ME!

During our stay in San FRANK-cisco, Ketchup Kylie and I decided to take our new buns to what is considered the most visited and most photographed bridge in the world — the Golden Gate Bridge.

When driving a 27-foot-long hot dog, we tend to see people trying to take a “bite” out of our vehicle, but this time around we decided to take a bite out of the Golden Gate!

Leaving our Mark at the Cadillac Ranch

If you have been following the Hotdogger Blog for a couple of years now, you might recall previous Hotdoggers leaving their mark at the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, TX. Just like Johnny Salami from class XXI and A-Dog Alison from class XXII , we had to stop and check it out.

The Cadillac Ranch was created in 1974 and writing graffiti and spray painting is encouraged. Without hesitation, Ketchup Kylie and I got our spray paint ready and started adding some bunderful art on the vehicles.

Since the rest of the Hotdoggers are ways away, we decided to paint a picture of the Wienermobile along with all our names!

Even though the rest of class XXIV could not be there, we made sure we left our mark.

WEENR-ful Times in the South

For the past 6 months, Turkey Dog Tyler and I had our fair share of adventures in the South. It all started at Hot Dog High when we got to meat WEENR for the first time. We put on our meat belts and hit the hot dog highways on a great adventure.

From city to city and state to state

From city skylines to some time at the beach

From football stadiums to Fourth of July celebrations

From fishing  in Arkansausage to tubing in Alabama

From parasailing to new cities

It has all been a franktastic ride

Franks WEENR for all the bunderful memories!

Olde Tyme Grocery

As Hotdoggers, one of the hardest questions we ask ourselves is “Where do I want to eat today?” As we travel the hotdog highways of America, we come across some great places to eat. Even though many think that all we eat are hot dogs, sometimes we do like to try some of the great food each town has to offer.

While in Lafayette, LA , we were told to go to the Olde Tyme Grocery and try some of the best shrimp po’boys we would ever eat.

With different awards and great reviews online, Turkey Dog Tyler and I did not hesitate to go and get one of these great po’boys for lunch. Of course, the Olde Tyme Grocery didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious and WEENR will sure be coming back!

Great times with the Wienermobile

Kids love to come and check out the Wienermobile. Whether it’s after school, after soccer practice or hanging out at a friends house, we sure do appreciate them coming by to see us. In this case, we had a group of kids come and check out WEENR after their karate tournament. They were so excited that they all decided to take a picture in front of the Wienermobile. Of course, they all had the chance to take home wiener whistles and stickers to show the rest of their friends what a great time they had.

So if you’re wondering where you can find the Wienermobile, make sure you “like” the Oscar Mayer Facebook page and see if we are in a city near you!
