Life Inside the Wienermobile Vehicle

Stories from the road

The Family Comes to Vegas!

One of the great rewards of hotdogging is that oftentimes when you’re visiting a cool city, people like to come visit you. That was the case with my family when I was in Las Vegas – since my Dad had raised us on Elvis, we knew we had to reunite in the bright light city!

We got to see some shows, ride roller coasters, and cruise down the Strip in the Wienermobile! One day, we even went to Red Rock state park to see some bunderful Southwestern scenery!

This family reunion is going to be tough to top!

We were brought there through Santa Fate -

Chiles and cacti,

Hangin’ with the Orlando Boys and Girls Club

While cruising the Hot Dog Highways, Lil’ Links Laura and I got to stop by the Orlando Boys and Girls Club. We parked right on the basketball court, and the kids came running out for their chance to see inside the Wienermobile!

We played some games, sang “Oh I Wish I were an Oscar Mayer Wiener”, and gave out some franktastic prizes – enjoy the wiener whistles!

360 Degrees of Ketchup-and-Mustard Seats!

While circling through Southern California, we were lucky enough to be within the radius of a Wienermobile fan named Josh. Josh is a highly skilled photographer, and knows how to round up incredible 360 degree spherical panoramas of various places easy as pi! He set up his camera inside RELSHME, took a couple quick shots, and rolled out this ball-ing image of the inside of the Wienermobile! Are Euclid-ing me?! Click and drag your mouse around on the image below to take a panoramic tour of the Wienermobile’s interior, and franks again to Josh for allowing us to show the inside of the Wienermobile to people a-round the globe!

When I Roll into the Wild Wild West

After many bunderful months in the Southeast, I recently had the chance to see some of what the Southwestern U.S. has to offer. I grabbed my boots and spurs and went westward ho!
Tumbleweed Territory

Tumbleweed Territory

There were cacti, jackelopes, and rattlesnakes along the dusty trail, and I spent so much time in the Wienermobile saddle I nearly got a rawhide! When we made camp at one point during the drive, I took ten paces outside and really understood how the west was won-derful!

So if you see me keepin’ my doggy rolling through the West, be sure to say howdy!

Gator Franks?

After defying death in the Everglades, Lil Links Laura and I decided it was kill or be killed. So we stopped by a local barbecue spot to try a very local flavor – alligator meat! Laura got us started with some appetizers . . .

Alligator is very tasty – pretty chewy meat, with a delectable taste! I liked it so much, I had to try the other alligator menu item . . .

Gator Sausage (doing my best gator smile)

Gator sausage was everything I hoped it would be – juicy, filling, and something I could really sink my teeth into!

Ever-glad to Visit!

Lil Links Laura and I got to visit the Everglades while traveling through south Florida. We saw gators, pythons, and turtles a-plenty, and got some great pictures to prove how we just barely escaped certain death!

Jumbo Beef Joey Finally Sees the Wienermobile in Person

“Jumbo Beef” Joey has been a long-time follower of @Wienermobile on Twitter, as well as an avid fan of hotdoggerblog.com. In Del Rey Beach, Florida, he was finally able to achieve his goal of seeing the Wienermobile in person!

Joey got to check out everything YUMMY has to offer – a blue-sky ceiling, six plush and plump seats, and a floor covered in mustard! He even “tweeted” from the Wienermobile, and as such was awarded a limited edition sticker:

Key Largo? Baby Why Don’t We Go!

Lil’ Links Laura and I got to hike through the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo, Florida. This 50 year-old park offers kayak rentals, snorkeling lessons, and hikes through swamps. We were most interested in checking out the Mangrove groves!
