Ok, so you probably have no idea who a Hotdogger is and what a Hotdogger does.

Well, it’s one of us, the guys and gals who drive the Wienermobile, criss-crossing the country, looking for bridges that are high enough to drive under so we don’t get stuck . We thought it was only fair that you get to see the inside of the Wienermobile – including the people driving it. So, that’s why we created this blog. We hope you enjoy reading our stories and experiencing what being a Hotdogger is all about. We appreciate every wave we receive on the road and are thrilled you’re reading and commenting here.

We’ll try to respond if we can… (after all, there’s a lot of ground to cover). – The Hotdoggers

Taking a Ride on the Information Super Hot Dog!!!

Rachel Relish, the Wienermobile and I were invited to go on a tour of Microsoft while in Seattle, WA!!!  The Microsoft campus was massive and felt like a self sustaining city!  Inside the mainframe of Microsoft the employees had worked up an appetite and were drawn to the Wienermobile as a food source.  However on closer inspection they saw the potential of turning the Wienermobile into a Weeniebago!  Then they were thinking of new tech-savy devices to turn it into a Lamborweenie! In the end we all agreed the Wienermobile was a beautiful piece of Americana and perfect just the way it is.  After this revelation I suggested we sing kumbaya but agreed a hot dog would be more fitting.

Near, Far, Wherever you are Bainbridge Island Ferry will go on

Rachel Relish and I were in Seattle with the Wienermobile and had to take the ferry to Bainbridge Island!  The ferry ride to the Island was beautiful.  Seattle’s skyline was in the background with puffy Jumbo All Condensation clouds.  I was caught up in the atmosphere and Relish snapped a pic of me in a Titanic moment.  The only way to top off such a spectacular day would be with an eight pack of the finest Oscar Mayer hot dogs!

Falling for Multnomah Falls

While in Oregon we heard Multnomah Falls described as majestic, with an adjective like that Relish, the Wienermobile and I needed to check it out.  Once we arrived my jaw dropped in its sheer enormity, it was probably over 140,000,000 hot dogs tall and the amount of water coming from the water fall could boil twice that many.  Relish and I needed to take a closer look so we climbed to the top of the water fall.  I was calm looking over the ledge, Relish on the other hand was shaking like a bottle of ketchup with only a few drops left!!!
Below is a picture of me in front of Multnomah Falls!!!

Thunder Basketball, Generosity and Hot Dogs

While in Oklahoma City I realized the Wienermobile had never been to an Oklahoma City Thunder basketball game.  I took a little cruise down to Ford Center and waited in line at the ticket booth.  While in line the family in front of me told me they had an extra ticket.  I thought to myself, “Free Thunder Basketball!”.  Graciously, I accepted their offer and was thinking of a way to repay them.  I returned the generosity the only way I knew how, hot dogs!  By far the best snack for a basketball game and these bad boys were stuffed to the gills; ketchup, mustard, relish, onions and nacho cheese sauce.  We had a great time with some great food.  Below are some pictures I took while at the game, enjoy!

The Birthplace of Walmart!

When the Wienermobile heard that the very first Wal-Mart was in Bentonville, AR we had to go see it.  Walton’s five and dime was the very first general store operated by Sam Walton which would later grow into Wal-Mart.  Today Walton’s five and dime in Bentonville, AR serves as Wal-Mart’s museum.  I had a bun of fun learning about Walmart’s rich history.  Below I included a photo of me shaking the hand of Sam Walton (Large cutout of Sam Walton)!!!

Fiesta brings Camel, Donkey, Sheep and Goats for everyone to pet!!!

The Wienermobile stopped by a Fiesta Grocery store for one of their festivals.  It was a bun of fun!  They had a wide variety of animals in their petting zoo.  I befriended a camel which was a first for me.

Cheesin’ with the National Guard Chopper

At a parade in White Hall, AR is where I first encountered the National Guard Chopper float!  It was a very impressive bike.  I sat behind the handle bars of the chopper and imagined haulin’ buns, however reality set in when I noticed I was encased in a bullet proof glass trailer.

Hotdoggin with the KU mascot

The Wienermobile stopped at the beautiful Kansas University.  While at the KU campus I met up with Big Jay the Universities mascot and he gave me a VIP tour.  I was able to see where all the behind the scene ‘mascot’ operations take place.  Big Jay also let me hold his offical game jersey and ride around on his gigantic tricycle.  Oversized modes of transportation are my favorite!!!

Cirque du Soleil linked like franks

While driving the Wienermobile past the Toyota Center in Houston, TX I saw that Cirque du Soleil was in town.  I of course had to ketchup with the ticket office and then enjoyed the show.  During the show many of the performers were connected by arms and legs and it looked just like linked sausages!!!  It’s amazing the influence hot dogs have on the world.

Relishing Galveston Beach, TX

Guac’ and I decided that the Wienermobile needed to lightly toast its bun.  So we took it to Galveston Beach, TX and got a little sun ourselves.  The white sand beaches were beautiful and a must stop if you relish beach time.
