Life Inside the Wienermobile Vehicle

Stories from the road

Is that a Wienermobile in my driveway?

Many Hotdoggers get to share the Wienermobile with their family and friends while on the road and as my year was coming to an end I realized that WEENR had been to my house but without me there.  Thankfully Pepper Jackie Cheese and R-Dog Rachel were in Houston when I went home for a visit, and I could finally see this great sight for myself. All of my neighbors came out and said they had never sausage a thing!

Hot Dogs and Fast Horses!

While in Louisville, KY this year team Southeast witnessed the 137th running of the Kentucky Derby! Not only did we help break the record for the most people who ever attended a Derby (almost 165,000), but we got to see the official Derby Trophy and the making of the Garland of Roses presented to the winner.

The official 18-karat gold Derby Trophy!

The Garland of Roses was made overnight before the Kentucky Derby at a local Krogers grocery store.  It is made up of 564 individual roses that are sewn up into a blanket for the winning Derby horse.  This year Animal Kingdom was the lucky-dog (or horse) who got to show off this bunderful arrangement of flowers.

Diggity Dog Drea and I might look like we are regular derby go-ers but we had some help from the lovely ladies at Dee’s hat shop.  They made sure that we arrived in style with some franktastic hand made derby hats!

Hotdoggers Cruising the Open Seas!

During our year on the road Hotdoggers are used to traveling the hot-dog-highways of America in a 27-foot, 60 hot-dog long Wienermobile.  This year during our holiday break, Picklin’ Pat, Meep Meep Maria, Super Dog Sam, Pepper Jackie Cheese, Diggity Dog Drea and I decided to get off the hotdog-highways and hit the open seas!

Instead of the Wienermobile we traveled the high seas in this 815 foot long cruise ship!

Hotdoggers are always adventurous no matter what city or country we are in, so while making a quick pit stop in Cozumel, Mexico we decided to go on a snorkeling excursion.

Even on the open seas we made sure we got mustard colored life jackets!  Picklin’ Pat was so excited to say #Howdy from the Gulf of Mexico!

We really relished our time on the water but are happy to be back on land again! #AhoyMates!

OURDOG gets a visit from OHIWISH

This year the Southeast Team has traveled all the way from Madison, WI down to Miami, FL and everything in between. In one of our more recent adventures, we were traveling from Kentucky to Arkansas and made a quick stop in St. Louis, MO to ketchup with the Midwest Team!

We thought we were lucky dogs when we found out that our paths overlapped, but not as lucky as these 2 Wienermobile vehicles who were reunited.

Charleston Goes Racing with OHIWISH

In Charleston, SC when 40,000 participants finish a 10K race, what is the first thing they get to do? Take a look at the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile, of course.  What a great sight to see at the finish line! Most of the racers were very surprised, shocked and excited to see OHIWISH standing at the finish line of the Bi-Lo Cooper River Bridge Run to meat and greet them.

In this picture I can spy 2 Hotdoggers in the sea of people, can you find them?

*HINT: we are wearing our ketchup colored sweatshirts

It’s not a Submar-Weenie!

A common question Hotdoggers get is: “Can the Wienermobile swim or float on water?”  We tell them its not a submar-weenie!  But while visiting the southern coast of Florida, Diggity Dog Drea and I decided to test our luck on the water with some kayaks!

We brought along a winer whistle and made sure we got ketchup colored life jackets, and mustard colored kayaks to match!

Relishing St. Patrick’s Day

As Hotdoggers our usual attire consists of ketchup and mustard colored clothing. For St. Patrick’s day Diggity Dog Drea and I didn’t want to miss out on the fun and decided to add some relish to top it off!

We saw buns of creative costumes at our event and had a franktastic time. We hope you had a great St. Patrick’s day too!

Hot dog work out!

While cruising in the southeast Diggity Dog Drea and I stopped to stretch our buns at a local yoga class in Savannah, Georgia! The bunderful instructor, Hot Doggin’ Dawn, and the franktastic students were so excited when they saw the Wienermobile, the class  was moved outside to check it out!

Bunderful Beginnings

Life on the road is always changing and this past month I ended my time in the Southwest with Pepper Jackie Cheese and RELSHME.

We had buns of fun soaking up the sun in the Southwest, but now I get to travel all the way across the hotdog highways of America and venture out to the Southeast with Diggity Dog Drea!

Diggity Dog Drea and I even got to meat an original 1969 Wienermobile, and I can’t wait to see what other fun adventures we have in the southeast – be sure to ketchup with us and find out!

Hotdogger Scavenger Hunt!

Some of the most franktastic times of the year for Hotdoggers are when we all get to meat and ketchup! We relish the time we spend together exchanging stories from the miles of smiles we spread on the road.  While in Madison this past month all 12 of us Hotdoggers split into 2 teams and went on an exciting scavenger hunt!

Picklin’ Pat, Me, Super Dog Sam, Brian the Bunderful, Diggity Dog Drea, and Tera Louise with Cheese were on the winning team! We took a picture with the beautiful snowy Madison skyline.

Tera Lousie with Cheese, Brian the Bunderful and Picklin’ Pat with the Wisconsin State capitol!

As a special treat we got to meat an original 1988 Oscar Mayer Wienermobile!

We had buns of fun and can’t wait to ketchup with the rest of the team again soon!
