Snakes on a Wienermobile!

While in Katy, TX, I encountered…SNAKES!!!  Now, before I proceed with this, I must say one of these snakes is not real and also serves as a makeshift pet for Alana Pickles and me.  The fake snake is “Dean” and is the one showing his belly.  However, the other snake came to our event attached to his owner’s arm.  I was told the snake wanted to see the Wienermobile so the owner had to comply.  I’ll admit, I’m rather uncomfortable around snakes but when one wants to see the inside of the Wienermobile-well, that’s a friend of mine.

Also, the snake’s owner is wearing a tuxedo t-shirt, which just so happens to be one of my favorite fashion statements.

Dominican Hotdog?

Here I am at Calle Ocho in Miami, Fl. Calle Ocho is a huge Latin festival that takes place yearly. I am holding The Dominican Republic’s flag because even thought I was born in America, both of my parents are Dominican. I had a blast at Calle Ocho! I danced “salsa” and “merengue” and ate delicious Latin food!

A Warm Welcome

Baton Rouge, LA- Going to work to meet strangers anxiously awaiting your arrival is a huge perk of being a Hotdogger.  Johnny Salami and I pulled into the parking lot of this store to meet these ladies, who had never seen the Wienermobile before. To celebrate the visit to their grocery store, these two women had “I wish I was . . .” painted onto the back of their uniforms.

The manager had no qualms with the addition to their Winn Dixie shirts and seemed jealous he didn’t have one to match.  Even though it was around 93°F that day, the ladies worked with us outside all day grilling some All Beef Premium Franks!

“Pop” on over to Kentucky!

Winchester, Kentucky- Kentucky’s famous for bluegrass, basketball, and a non-alcoholic soda you can’t get anywhere else – Ale81. Pronouncing the name right takes some practice.  Locals say “a-late-one”. Once we get that name down, we’ll start working on pronouncing Louisville (“Loo-uh-vul”)!

Some “Dawgs” of the Coastal Empire

Savannah– While working around the Coastal Empire, the Savannah area, we happened to notice some other big “dawgs.” Here is from one big dog to another; it’s a replica of Uga II from The Dawg House and the Great Dane of the Great Dane Trailers

And here the Savannah College of Arts and Design showing just how big of a presence they are in Savannah in the form of their transportation.

Four wheels are almost better than six

It’s no secret that we like funny vehicles. In New Orleans, Salchicha and I hopped on a pair of Segways; in Omaha, Hamanda Cheese and I flagged down some untraditional cyclists; and of course there’s that hot dog we drive.

The newest vehicle to add to our roster: ATVs. Outside of Madison, WI, Hamanda Cheese and I snagged driver’s seat spots on a couple of four wheelers.  We rolled through the woods, gunned it up a few hills, and taught ourselves to shift gears like pros.

ATVs don’t really compare to the Wienermobile, but by the end of the day, we were definitely a pair of hotdoggers

Some Sweet Fireworks at the Onion Fest

In Vidalia Georgia is where they grow and harvest the world famous Vidalia Onions. We were lucky enough to be invited to their 32nd Vidalia Onion Festival. At their opening ceremony they set some fireworks off that led to some franktastic photos. Enjoy!

Hot dogs give you wiiiiiiiings!!

As Hotdoggers, we have an affinity for mobile marketing of all kinds.  Although the Wienermobile is obviously our favorite piece of Americana on wheels, we can’t help but be impressed with others.  When Hammi Sammi and I came across the Red Bull mini in Beverly Hills, we couldn’t help but flaunt our hotdogging skills! Here is a picture of the Red Bull mini from “shotbun” in I WSH IWR!
