Ok, so you probably have no idea who a Hotdogger is and what a Hotdogger does.

Well, it’s one of us, the guys and gals who drive the Wienermobile, criss-crossing the country, looking for bridges that are high enough to drive under so we don’t get stuck . We thought it was only fair that you get to see the inside of the Wienermobile – including the people driving it. So, that’s why we created this blog. We hope you enjoy reading our stories and experiencing what being a Hotdogger is all about. We appreciate every wave we receive on the road and are thrilled you’re reading and commenting here.

We’ll try to respond if we can… (after all, there’s a lot of ground to cover). – The Hotdoggers

I Love the Wienermobile

I love getting my nails done; it was only natural that I get a Wienermobile painted on my nail. This is what I call true devotion to the Wienermobile!

Big Dogs, Little Dogs and Hot dogs!

Medford, OR- While getting into the Holidog spirit I had the opportunity to introduce WEENR to Darla, the biggest and sweetest dog I’ve ever met!

A day letter I met Snuggles, a teenie-weenie!

But don’t worry WEENR (our Wienermobile), you are still top dog in my book!

Big Bun, it’s cooold outside!

In Fort Lee, NJ, Mr. Beeftastic and Top Dog Tara had their first taste of a Wienermobile winter.  The Wienermobile got covered in snow, and became quite a “chilly” dog!

The Hamanda Cheese Sandwich

Have you ever been to a restaurant where the sandwiches are named after celebrities?  Those restaurants make me wonder, what would be on a “Hamanda Cheese” sandwich?  You can’t get this sandwich at a restaurant just yet, but you can make it at home.   My favorite Oscar Mayer cold cut might surprise you!

Ingredients:

White bread (the squishy kind!)

Oscar Mayer Bologna

Kraft American Cheese Singles

Kraft Mayonnaise

Chips  (regular flavor)

Assembly:

Spread some mayo on one slice of the squishy bread.  Top with cheese and B-O-L-O-G-N-A.  Here’s the important part- place a layer of chips ON the sandwich for some serious crunch in every bite! Top with last slice of bread. Yummy!

Two sweet rides

There aren’t many vehicles that get as many waves and smiles as the Wienermobile, but Segways come pretty close.  We cruised around the French Quarter in New Orleans on these futuristic two-wheelers for about an hour, but we still wanted to pose next to the Wienermobile.

Which would you rather drive: OH I WISH or a Segway?

YUMMY at the Beach

Grand Haven, MI – Nothing could keep me away from Lake Michigan, not even snow and freezing temps!  Today I shared my love of the Great Lakes with A-Dog Adam and YUMMY.  We didn’t get to go for a dip, but we enjoyed the view!

Niagara Falls!

So here I am in Niagara Falls, New York!  The Falls are awesome. There is New York on one side and you can see Canada on the other side. I took a ride on the Maid of the Mist and it completed my experience. I got a little splashed on the boat but it was worth it, by the end of the tour I actually got emotional and felt very patriotic.

We made Varsity!!

Atlanta is home to one of the most famous hot dog stands in the world…The Varsity!!  Hammi Sammi and I couldn’t resist answering their famous call of, “What’ll ya have!”  Of course the Wienermobile fit right into the scene, adding another piece of Americana to the already buzzing Varsity parking lot.

Battling the Elements

In Rockford, Michigan the snow drifts measured in around two feet!  The Wienermobile was pretty buried with snow and we had to clear a path just to get to it!  Even with her dog and bun covered, YUMMY kept on smiling!!

Quick Stop at the Pie Shop

Quick Stop at the Pie Shop

Oh-so-delicious

Read any book or article on the best dessert you can get on the road and you will read about this famous pie shop in De Valls Bluff, Arkansas.  It may not look like much from the outside, but when you walk inside you are greeted by the heavenly smell of piping hot pie.  I had to try the chocolate- thick and fudgy topped with fluffy meringue.  It was so big (and so delicious) that I ate it for lunch and dinner.  Oh, I wish I wasn’t so far from the Pie Shop now!  Writing about it is making me hungry…
